The Laconia Citizen Exhibit and Symposium

The Citizen, the daily newspaper published here for 90 years until last Sept. 30, will revisit the community at 6 p.m. Monday, March 20, with the opening of an exhibit in the upper-level of the Laconia Public Library, under the auspices of the Laconia Historical and Museum Society.

Following the opening of the exhibit, a symposium will be held — including past Citizen managers, writers, and other employees in an open discussion at Rotary Hall on the lower level of the Library at 7 p.m. The proceedings will also be recorded for broadcast on Lakes Region Public Access Channel 25.

The 90-year history of this important local publication will be on display with timelines, images and artifacts.

Both the exhibit and the symposium are free and open to the public.
